Barber Clash 2021 Terms and Conditions
Barber Clash 2021 is brought to you by Modern Barber Magazine, Salon International and Mike Taylor Education with the aim to provide a platform for barbers to demonstrate their work and showcase their skills.
WHO CAN ENTER:
This competition is open to all barbers and men’s hairdressers
- UK’s Freshest Fade
- Artistic Barber of the Year
- Beard and Moustache Champion
- Afro Barber of the Year
HOW TO ENTER:
Round 1: Entries will be judged on photographs emailed to email@example.com. For further details on specific requirements, please see the Photographic Requirements section. The email must include the following details:
- Full Name
- Contact Number
- Salon/Barbershop where you work
Barbers can enter more than one category but submit no more than one entry per category.
Round 2: The chosen finalists will be invited to create a look live on stage at Salon International on Monday 18th October. The model does not need to be the same as the photographic entry model.
All finalists will need to arrive by 10am to complete registration.
COST OF ENTRY:
Entry to Barber Clash is free of charge. Finalists will also receive free entry to Salon International for themselves and their model.
TIMETABLE & ENTRY DEADLINES:
The closing date for entries to this competition is Friday 8th October 2021 at 8pm. Under no circumstances will entries be allowed after this time. Finalists will be announced on Monday 11th October on Modern Barber Magazine Facebook page. Finalists will be required to attend Salon International on Monday 18th October at Excel, London for the live final.
Each photographic submission must comprise of at least TWO head shot photographs. These must show only front and side head shots. All entries must be the original and the unassisted work of the applicant.
Photographs must be saved in the following format: Full name – Barber Clash 21 e.g., John Smith – Barber Clash 21
Photographs that are too big to send in email can be sent via WeTransfer.
The competition will be judged by top industry professionals, there will be at least three judges to make sure all the entries are judged fairly.
Entries will be judged solely on the following, as evidenced by their photographic submission:
It should be noted that all photographic materials submitted by entrants would be of sufficient quality to enable proper judging (photos taken on mobile phones will be accepted). Any entry that is of poor photographic quality, and therefore insufficient to be accurately judged will be discarded by the judges.
The finals will take place at Salon International on Monday 18th October where the entrant will be required to create a look live on stage. Finalists will have 40 minutes to create their look (25 minutes for the Beard and Moustache Champion Finals).
Winners will be announced on the Modern Barber Stage on Monday 18th October at 4.30pm.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS:
Every entrant to the competition avows that by participating in this competition they positively confirm that they consent to the free and absolute use by Modern Barber Magazine, Salon International and Mike Taylor Education of any photographic, digital or other imagery submitted by them or on their behalf for entry purposes and any subsequent material which is created for or as a result of this competition including use of film, photography or written words including quotes whether in press releases, website materials, promotional purposes of otherwise. However, Modern Barber Magazine, Salon International and Mike Taylor Education will not cause or permit the publication of any personal information relating to any entrant other than the name, age and place of
Online competition terms and conditions:
WEB: will be chosen at random on the date of closing from correct entries. You must be over 18 and a UK resident to be eligible for entry. The winner will be notified by email. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence can be entered into. INSTAGRAM: To enter the competition you must comment with an emoji. The winner is chosen at random and Instagram is released from any responsibility to administer the competition. Prizes will be given out at BARBERFEST, Monday 5 July 2021 in Brighton. Only UK residents are eligible to win. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence can be entered into. The winner will be notified through Instagram. Competition closes 24 hours from the post.

Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible.
