OPEN SHOOT with Raspberry Jam Studio

Modern Barber has teamed up with award winning photographer Roberto Aguilar and The London Barber, Kieron Webb to offer twenty barbers the chance to have their work captured on camera. Multi-award winning photographer Roberto Aguilar spent many years working as a fashion photographer in Miami and Paris before moving to London in 2004. For over a decade he worked alongside Anthony Mascolo creating the images for TIGI Haircare as the brands’ senior in-house photographer. Kieron Webb is an international educator and session barber passionate about sharing his experience and knowledge.

The duo are partnering to launch their own studio and academy and has offered Modern Barber the chance to open their doors for twenty barbers to have their work captured with a professional image. Kieron will be on-hand to offer creative direction and advice while Roberto will work his magic behind the camera.

What you need to do: Email an image or two of the cut and the model you would like to shoot to hello@modernbarber.co.uk with ‘Shoot’ in the subject line by March 30th. A good phone pic will do. Include your name, social media names and mobile number.

What happens then: Your work will be chosen on the quality of the haircut and the model. Professional models are not required but an interesting look is! The team will notify you if you have one of the 20 places on the shoot. You will be given a morning or afternoon slot and further details. You will be required to style the whole look! The only rule is the clothes need to come in white, light grey and/or any shade of cream…basically ALL neutrals.

The only costs involved are your expenses. The Raspberry Jam studio will also provide a make-up artist for basic skin make-up. The final images will be published in the July issue of Modern Barber Magazine.
