Top barbers at English Hair & Beauty Awards

Barbers and men’s stylists have been recognised at this year’s English Hair and Beauty Awards. The South of England and the Midlands were celebrated on Sunday 19th March at the Athena in Leicester, where The Grooming Room in Ashby-de-la-Zouch was named Overall Barbers of the Year. The North of England was celebrated at The Mercure in Manchester Piccadilly on Sunday 26th March, where Swagger & Slick Gents Grooming & Barbers in Middlesborough received the gong for Overall Barbers of the Year. Here is a rundown of all the barbering and men's stylist winners across the two nights.

Chapter 1, Sunday 26th March: Barbers of the Year.

West Midlands: Sedgwick Barber Room, Coventry
East Midlands: The Grooming Room, Ashby de-la Zouch
East Barbers: Braid Barbers, Milton Keynes
South East: Gentlemen’s Barbers, Oxford
South West: Mint Bournemouth, Bournemouth
Men Stylist: Sam Panetta, Homme & Co, Leicester
Overall: The Grooming Room, Ashby de-la Zouch

Chapter 2. Sunday 26th March: Barbers of the Year.

North East: Swagger & Slick Gents Grooming & Barbers, Middlesborough
North West: The Gents Room, Preston
Yorkshire: Remedy Hairdressing, Leeds
Men Stylist: Philip Unsworth, Guappo Hair Design, Durham
Overall: Swagger & Slick Gents Grooming & Barbers, Middlesborough

The awards are in their sixth year and helped raise money for the official charity partner, Make A Wish Foundation UK, who grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.
