Jason (Jay) Millar of Jays Barber Club in Belfast, plus five of his barber team, visited Denman International Head Office in Bangor to trim up the staff for a pre-Christmas treat.
After a difficult past in the care system, Jay is now committed to working with the Active Communities Network – training unemployed youth in a bid to help them get the best start in life. As Denman has been supporting his charity work with custom brushes, Jay offered to give the Denman staff a spruce up before the festive season as a thank you.
Maria Stafford, Sales and Communications Executive, comments: “There was such a buzz around the factory. Jay and his team did around 30 haircuts for our staff. It was a wonderful atmosphere and everyone felt very special. Jay does such great work in the community and it was lovely to spend time with him and his team.”
All six barbers managed time for a tour of the factory floor to see how the Jack Dean by Denman barber range is made in real time. Jay says: “It was a delight to fill up the Jays Barber Club bus with our staff and head to the Denman Head Office on our day off. It was a great day out and we had a very warm welcome!”
