Lando Norris' Winning Hair and Grooming Combination

Published 10th Dec 2024 by Josie Jackson

McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris has certainly been making waves on the track this season – and thanks to his trademark curlly hair and evolving personal style, he’s also been garnering attention off the track, too. Here, we take a look at Lando Norris' winning grooming combination. (Hint: it includes a mullet...)

The mullet has been a dominating hair trend in recent years, and it's often seen on the F1 grid too. First, Valterri Bottas introduced the controversial cut to the paddock, and now Lando Norris has followed in his footsteps. However, while Bottas paired his mullet with a striking colour transformation, Norris is letting his natural brown curls do all the talking.

Discussing the mullet, Danny Robinson of Danny&Co. Barbers, said: "The mullet was really popular at Salon International in 2023, but it took about 12 months for the style to gain popularity up north, which is where I'm based. I really like this cut – I love the texture at the back which then follows through into the top. It can help give the headshape definition, and can be quite versatile depending on the styling products you use."

In fact, throughout the 2024 F1 season, Norris has worked on embracing his curls – something you can help your clients achieve, too. In addition to finding a cut that complements their curls, aftercare and a proper styling routine are also crucial. Next time a client expresses a desire to take their curls to the next level, start by asking them about the products they're currently using, before probing them on their styling routine. Meanwhile, for clients who have naturally straight hair but are looking for more texture, why not suggest a perm?

Lando Norris has also started to embrace facial hair this season, helping to reinforce his experienced-driver status by adding a sense of maturity to his style. A subtle goatee is the perfect option for clients wanting to try their hand at growing facial hair, but don't have the patience or ability to commit.
