Celebrity hair stylist and former London Hairdresser of the Year winner Luke Benson was in Paris to get Joe Jonas front row ready for the Louis Vuitton SS23 show recently, and is tipping longer looks as one of the go-to 2023 hair trends for men.
"Personally I love the colder months, I prefer the fashion, layering chunky knits with great overcoats, and a more relaxed feel to men's hair trends for my clients. Short hair works in the summer when it’s hot, you’re tanning - those fresh fades really tick the box. But how great does longer hair look peeking out from under a beanie, or in a no fuss length that you can run your hands through, especially if you've got a natural curl that you can encourage.
"It’s a time where you can embrace natural movement, be a little more 'undone' - unruly can look cool. This season I think we'll see facial hair grown out a little more - still groomed nicely, nothing Neanderthal, but a little longer than normal.
"One downside to the colder months is that headwear is abrasive and can damage the hair so definitely keep on top of your hair routine by using good haircare products and getting regular trims. Hair treatments are very much also for men, and a deep condition every week or two will help to keep it healthy.
"With Movember coming up, if you’ve been contemplating switching up your facial hair, then maybe it’s time for a ‘tache - ask your hairdresser or barber to trim this as well as your beard and eyebrows; gents eyebrows can become unruly so use a brow gel to help tame them and keep them
in place through the day."
Speaking of Movember, have you heard about the donation that has been made by STMNT Grooming Goods?
