Scrummi Launches New Recycling Scheme in Partnership with Recorra

Published 13th Apr 2023 by Chloe Weldon

Scrummi, the B-Corporation certified salon and spa towel company are delighted to announce the launch of a new recycling scheme in partnership with Recorra, making it easier than ever for Scrummi clients to recycle their used towels and sheets.

Although Scrummi products will break down within household waste, one of the benefits of using Scrummi is that they are sustainable and biodegradable. By partnering with Recorra, Scrummi is able to introduce to their London and South Coast clients, a competitively priced, kerbside recycling service, an ideal and environmentally way to dispose of Scrummi products.

The partnership with Recorra, a leading commercial recycling specialist who pride themselves on delivering Real Recycling, will see Scrummi towels and sheets turned into high-quality PAS100-certified compost in just 10 weeks at the UK’s largest composting facility in Cambridge. Scrummi products are certified compostable and are great for creating nutrient-rich compost.

Scrummi users can sign up to the service, directly with Recorra and they’ll take care of everything for you – they’ll even sell you compost made from used Scrummi towels if your garden needs some extra oomph!

Rob Cooper, Founder & Managing Director at Scrummi said: “Sustainability is at the core of our business; we’re always looking for ways in which we can encourage Scrummiclients to be more sustainable and to make it as easy as possible for them to do so. We are excited about our partnership with Recorra, which will make recycling Scrummi towels easier than ever and is something that we’re looking at rolling out across the UK over the coming year. I’d like to encourage all Scrummi salons within the M25 area and the South Coast to sign up and get involved.”
