STMNT Styling Masterclass: Sleek Hair and Classic Quiffs

Updated on 02nd Apr 2025

We spent the day with STMNT Ambassadors Charles Rose and Ry Lewis who demonstrated how to create multiple looks from one cut. Check out the steps below for a sleek middle parting and a classic quiff.

How to Style A Sleek Middle Parting with Ry Lewis

To craft Jonah’s look, I focused on enhancing his natural waves while adding volume and a soft, touchable finish:

1. I began by cutting defined layers around the crown of Jonah’s head to create volume and texture, forming the foundation of the style.

2. Next, I applied STMNT Grooming Spray to prime the hair. This product is perfect for prepping before blow-drying, as it minimizes frizz and ensures a smooth finish.

3. While the hair was still damp, I worked STMNT Curl Cream through the strands. This curl cream is a favourite of mine - it enhances natural waves beautifully, leaving the hair soft and defined without any greasy residue.

4. The final stage was to gently dry the hair with a diffuser, leaving Jonah with a natural, wavy look.

For Jonah’s second look, I wanted to break away from the natural vibe of his first style and create something strikingly different:

1. We kept the back of Jonah’s hair wavy, enhancing the texture with a spritz of STMNT Definition Spray.

2. Using a round brush, I blow-dried the front of the hair upwards and away from the face to form a bold quiff.

3. To hold the quiff in place, I used STMNT’s Dry Clay for texture and definition, finishing with STMNT Hairspray to ensure long-lasting structure.
