Did you hear that the Hair & Beauty Charity announced its annual raffle prize draw on 8 December 2023, with the winners being announced on the charity’s social channels by charity supporter, Errol Douglas MBE?

The raffle has raised just under £11,500 this year and will help support those in the hair and beauty industry who have fallen on hard times. Tickets were sold online throughout the year and at key industry events, including the Professional Beauty Awards, the British Hairdressing Business Awards and the British Hairdressing Awards.

This year’s prize draw saw some incredible prizes, including £1,000, which went to Nick Plunkett, and a Monica Vinader gold diamond tennis bracelet, which went to Melissa Birch. Other prizes included £500 Selfridges vouchers, a spa day at Carden Park Spa and products from BaByliss, Hot Tools, L’Oréal Professionnel Paris, Procare, Alfa Italia, Wella Professionals, Fudge and Osmo.

Charity Manager, Natalie Merola commented: "This year our annual raffle has raised just under £11,500. It is a testament to the generosity and support of the hair and beauty industry. As always, we’d like to thank everyone who has supported us this year, those who bought raffle tickets and, of course, our sponsors who donated prizes. Your support allows us to continue providing assistance to those in the industry who need it most."

Applications for financial assistance continue to rise as the cost of living remains high, with the total annual funding to beneficiaries having risen by over 30% in 2023. The charity’s beneficiaries are facing a challenging winter, and the monies raised will provide the vital support they need.
