This Black History Month, the spotlight is turning to one of the most dynamic and culturally influential corners of the hair industry - barbers. Tress Gala 2025 has announced the launch of a brand-new Barber Award, dedicated to honouring the artistry, precision, and impact of barbers who keep their communities looking and feeling their best.
From classic fades to creative cuts, barbers have long played a vital role in shaping not only styles but also stories, building spaces where culture, confidence, and connection thrive. The new award aims to recognise that legacy and champion the individuals who continue to elevate the craft of barbering within the Black hair community and beyond.
Tress Gala organisers, Tressly, are calling on hairstylists and clients alike to get involved by nominating a barber who deserves recognition. Whether they’re an established name with years of experience or a rising talent making waves, this is a chance to celebrate those who are redefining the industry from the barber’s chair.
A panel of judges will review all nominations and select the top finalists, with the winner revealed live on October 27th at The Londoner Hotel at the third Tress Gala Awards 2025.
To put a barber forward, entrants can nominate here with the barber’s name, Instagram handle, and a brief note explaining why they deserve to win.
