Barry Keoghan’s Hair at the 2024 BAFTAs

Jim Shaw, award-winning men’s hairdresser and Director of TONI&GUY Billericay, shared: “One of my favourite looks from this year’s BAFTA Awards came from Barry Keoghan. With his hair cut into a fade with lots of length on top, little styling is required, as the haircut does all the talking. His high fade is super short on the sides and with the length on top, he’s styled this by adding in some texture to give off serious ‘cool guy vibes’. I would use a product like label.M Matt Paste and distribute a small amount through the top section of the hair to break up the hair and add texture and definition. When it comes to men’s hair trends for 2024, this high fade, military-inspired cut will be prominent for those who are looking for a low maintenance style that still looks trendy and edgy."

Archie Madekwe’s Hair at the 2024 BAFTAs

Joey Addison, from Supply91, shared: “One of my personal favourite men’s hair looks from the 2024 BAFTAs has to be from Archie Madekwe. I think this look really complements his playful and fun personality which not only shows impressive styling and grooming on textured hair, but a modern approach to the style of fade he has on the sides and back of the haircut, the tapered fade. Created by @nadiaaltinbas, this is an all-round admirable and modern look."

Dominic Sessa’s Hair at the 2024 BAFTAs

Mikey Gunning, from Supply91, shared: “This effortless-looking scissor cut preaches depth and volume, whilst shaping tightly to the head keeping a rounded effect. The sideburns and fringe frame his face to exude 70s grunge. These shaggy mods are becoming more popular as old trends resurface and Dominic Sessa is the perfect candidate to rock one with his flared fashion pieces.”

Bradley Cooper’s Hair at the 2024 BAFTAs

Jim also shared his thoughts on Bradley Cooper’s hair, saying: “Bradley sported an effortless, almost undone hair look and still looked fantastic. His short cut was enhanced with a matte or low shine styling product, like American Crew Defining Paste, to give his hair some added texture and movement without looking too polished. If recreating this look, ensure you work the product back off the face to give that pushed back, lifted look.”

Cillian Murphy’s Hair at the 2024 BAFTAS

Jim also praised Cillian Murphy’s hair, sharing: "Cillian is known for his curtain haircut, but at this year’s BAFTAs we saw his hair look longer and fuller with a more dramatic side fringe. A side fringe looks great on male clients with longer hair and it’s also particularly good for those with angular face shapes, helping to soften their look. This is a style that’s not been prominent in recent years, however it seems to be making a comeback; Cillian showed how to make this look more contemporary with a slightly wet/glossy appearance, oozing style and sophistication.”
