  1. Establish the Top Transition
Begin by ensuring your desired top length is in place. Using a #3 guard on your clipper, create the top transition or weight line, working around the head.
  2. Define the Base Line
With the bare clipper blade, establish the base line of the taper from the temple peak point to the ear. Repeat this process at the nape of the head, ensuring the highest point aligns with the occipital bone and employing a curved motion toward the exterior of the neck's hairline.
  3. Execute the Fade
Employ your preferred fading technique to seamlessly blend the longest point into the shortest point, gradually fading down. Pay attention to detail and avoid any drastic changes.
  4. Enhance Details
Using a trimmer, refine the edges to create sharp, defining lines, accentuating the taper. Flick out at the shortest point to add dimension.
  5. Finishing Touches with Foils
Utilise foils to eliminate stray hairs around the edges and focus on areas that require further shortening to enhance contrast and overall aesthetics.
