London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2025 made one thing clear: when it comes to men's hair, sleek, polished styles are out and laid-back, lived-in looks are in.
Take a look at a few of Modern Barber’s highlights…
Maximilian Raynor
TONI&GUY, Hair Lead Efi Davies with TONI&GUY Session Team
The show: Welcome to the un-united kingdom. The year is 3025. Ignited and fuelled by self-serving billionaires. Earth has fallen victim to relentless technological progression and a global regression in mortality. The climate de-prioritised and ignored. The natural world a wire-ridden wasteland. Lawless gangs rule but forbidden pagan culture rises. Travelling missionary nurses spread the word of the retro and whispers of what once was.
The hair: By enhancing each model’s natural texture, the team achieved a look that was organic, whilst embodying a futuristic edge. A standout element was the use of latex caps, adding an avant-garde, alien-esque quality that reinforced the collection’s visionary theme.
SS Daley
Authentic Beauty Concept, Hair Lead Anna Cofone
The show: Following on from his debut womenswear show last season, for AW25, SS Daley presented a combined womenswear and menswear show on Friday 21 February. The co-ed collection was a craft-driven exploration of the point where the codes of men’s and womenswear overlap. Think: British classics, reworked through hand drawn prints, felted textures and voluminous silhouettes.
The hair: Anna Cofone, Global Creative Advocate for Authentic Beauty Concept explains the hair inspiration: “In line with Stephen’s vision, we explored the interplay of masculinity and femininity in both the men’s and women’s hairstyles. The looks feature beautifully crafted shapes that emphasise movement and volume – textural, ethereal yet controlled.
“For the men’s looks, we aimed for a lived-in feel, as if artists were coming together after a night out. There’s a sense of individuality in the hair, yet a cohesive and uniformed aesthetic, tied together by texture, control and a pushed back style. Ethereal moments are introduced through subtle variations in movement, maintaining a balance between structure and effortlessness.”
Di Petsa
TONI&GUY, Hair Lead Efi Davies with TONI&GUY Session Team
The show: Di Petsa’s AW25 Collection, Amourous Waters, looked to divine femininity, empowerment and and the sensuality of self-love. The designs explore the ritual of cosmic healing, where pleasure and strength entertwine.
The hair: International Artistic Director, Efi Davies led the TONI&GUY Session Team and created a sexually charged, ethereal feel within the hair texture. Length was left very long to express desire, allowing movement to take place and flow naturally. The team worked with the model’s natural hair but also used wigs to extend the length, utilising products such as LABEL.M Curl Define Foam.
Chet Lo
Authentic Beauty Concept, Hair Lead Anna Cofone
The show: Chet Lo’s latest collection was a continuation of the brand’s signature look and journey bringing together his Asian heritage and western aesthetic. Titled, ‘Modern Antiquity’, Chet Lo reimagines traditional Asian iconography – tiger stripes, swirling cloud motifs and delicate florals – by warping, distorting and reshaping them. His signature textures take centre stage, with 3D merino wool spikes, intricate pleating and textural contrasts adding depth and dimension to every look.
The hair: Anna explains: “The inspiration for this look is a continuation of the patterns and panels we’ve explored in previous seasons. We wanted to mimic elements of the patterns and textures within Chet’s designs by incorporating high gloss crimped panels at the back and sides of the hair. To achieve this, we used hero Authentic Beauty Concept products Glow Spray Serum and Hand and Hair Light Cream, along with Pliable Paste and Working Hairspray to smooth flyaways and enhance the overall texture.”
