The entry deadline for the Modern Barber Awards 2025 is fast approaching, but there's still plenty of time to get your entries submitted. While you're at it, have you thought about entering one of the newcomers in your barbershop, too? Best Newcomer at the Modern Barber Awards is open to barbers who have been newly qualified for under a year; so we want to hear about the individual that continues to go above and beyond. Are they dedicated, passionate with a keen attention-to-detail? If you believe the Best Newcomer works in your shop, we want to hear from you.

How to Enter Best Newcomer at the Modern Barber Awards?

The entry for Best Newcomer award at the Modern Barber Awards needs to be made by the barber's direct manager, so if you think you have what it takes, speak to your boss now! Or, if you are a manager who wants to shine a light on a particularly promising barber, this is your chance to celebrate them. What better way to motivate a hard-working team member than by helping them achieve recognition for their efforts?

Why Enter?

Entering the Modern Barber Awards can help set budding talent on a path for greatness, providing them with recognition from some of the biggest barbers and brands in the industry, while also giving them a huge boost in confidence.

Jaiden McCarthy from Avenue Barbers, winner of Best Newcomer in 2024 said: "I think it's a great opportunity to get your name out there; by entering awards, you're always progressing."

Meanwhile, Yasemin Hassan, from Woolf Kings X, winner of Best Newcomer (formerly Best Apprentice) in 2023, shared: “It feels really good, I’m not going to lie. I just wanted to challenge myself and push myself forward really. I’m over the moon.”
