The British Beauty Council has announced the appointment of David MacDonald as its new Ambassador for Men, marking an exciting moment for men's grooming and barbering.
David, Vice President of Sustainability & HR Business Planning at Walgreens and current Talent Pillar President for the Council, will lead this new area of focus, shining a spotlight on the power of men’s grooming and its growing influence across the beauty and personal care industry.
As Ambassador for Men, David will work closely with industry stakeholders to elevate conversations around men’s grooming, representation and opportunity. His remit will include highlighting the role of barbering in community wellbeing, championing education and career pathways and addressing the changing attitudes towards self-care among men.
The appointment forms part of a wider series of leadership announcements for 2026 as the British Beauty Council continues to strengthen its network and global influence. These include new roles across communications, education and hair, reflecting the Council’s commitment to uniting the industry and fostering long-term growth.
