F1 Drivers’ Hair Ahead of the 2025 Season

Updated on 26th Feb 2025

The 2025 Formula 1 season officially kicks off in March, and while we’re eager to watch this year’s championship battle unfold (6 new rookies are sure to shake things up), we’ll also be paying close attention to the drivers’ hair. In fact, thanks to the popularity of F1’s Netflix docu-series Drive to Survive, the paddock has become a notable space for style, with drivers’ fashion and grooming choices drawing more attention than ever before. As the season unfolds, it will be interesting to see how these trends evolve alongside the competition.

Carlos Sainz’s Classic Cut

During the off season, the Spaniard was spotted filming a commercial with actress Simone Ashley for L’Oréal. Carlos has always had thick, healthy hair, so it makes sense that a brand such as L’Oréal would be keen to cash in on it. Often styled in a mid-length, side-sweeping style, this look suits a large range of clients, thanks to its versatility.

Pierre Gasly’s Hair Transplant Transformation

While Pierre has always had mid-length hair, he’s been known to lack density. In fact, for years the Alpine driver has worked to carefully conceal his receding hairline by adopting a brushed-forward style. However, shortly after the 2024 season came to a close, Pierre stepped out with a shaved head and a noticeably different hairline, prompting suspicions of a hair transplant. However, hair transplants aren’t the only solution for clients suffering from hair loss – you can find out more here.

Kimi Antonelli’s Gen Z Hair

One of six new drivers joining the F1 grid in 2025, Kimi is also the youngest. It’s no surprise, then, that the Italian has been seen embracing his natural curls in a style that resembles the popular Gen Z Broccoli Perm.

Liam Lawson’s Versatile Hair

Red Bull driver Liam Lawson is another great example that mid-length hair offers the perfect amount of versatility when it comes to styling. While the Kiwi has previously been known for his slicked-back style, over the off season he’s been showcasing a more tousled, laid-back look, chanelling an early 00s boyband.
