Check Out This New Photo Competition for Hair Professionals

Published 02nd Jun 2023 by Josie Jackson

Modern Barber is proud to announce the return of an online hair competition brought to you by Salon International and Hairdressers Journal: SNAP! which allows all hair professionals of any skill level, anywhere in the world to submit just ONE picture of their best work. The best part? There's a category dedicated to barbering!

To enter the competition, all you need to do is simply take a single photo on your phone of your best hair work and upload it via the entry form. Your image must be shot on a phone with a plain background and entries must be strictly #nofilter and no editing.

There are six SNAP! categories to choose from:

TEXTURE

CREATIVE

BARBERING

COLOUR

COMMERCIAL

BRIDAL

This competition is judged on style, cut, colour and image produced. After the closing deadline, Friday 14 June, a judging process will take place and 10 finalists in each category will be selected. The top 10 images in each category will be displayed in a Gallery at Salon International from 12th – 14th October at ExCeL London. The winners of each category will be announced live at Salon International on Monday 14th October.

What’s the SNAP! prize?

The winner of each category will receive a glittering trophy, be featured in Hairdressers Journal International, the opportunity to be a stage artist at Salon International 2024 and a complimentary ticket to the British Hairdressing Awards 2024, to celebrate at the biggest night in British hairdressing.

So, get your phones at the ready and send us your SNAP!

If you're new to the industry, why not check out our Raw Talent Barbering Competition, also taking place at Salon International?
